The APAT-5001 is a comprehensive test station for testing the safety of any portable appliances. The term "portable" applies to any appliance, which is fitted with a mains plug designed to be connected to an 110/240V supply. The sensitive analogue display gives accurate readings and clearly indicates pass and fail bands on all tests parameters. The test functions are performed by a single push button action, which cover an insulation test and earth bonding test.
The Electricity at Work Act (1989) requires you to regularly test portable appliances to ensure that they comply with the relevant safety standards.
