Free Standing Thermo-hygrometers |
Hand Held Thermo-hygrometers |
Data Logging Humidity Meters |
The purpose of a hygrometer, often called a humidity meter, is to measure the moisture content of air to decipher humidity. They are a very useful tool for use in environments which require a constant level of humidity, be it high or low. As well as being used to provide a constant humidity reading they can also be used to deliver one-off, single results. Our hygrometer categories can be seen above. ATP Instrumentation specialise in hygrometer and humidity meter apparatus. We are recognised as one of the UK’s top providers of humidity meter instruments. You will find that we have a number of product options for stand alone, hand held and data logging hygrometer.
Our range of hygrometer cover applications from self-contained units for environmental monitoring, hand held instruments for HVAC, clean rooms and airstream monitoring and data logging for long term monitoring of environments and practicality. At ATP Instrumentation you can find free standing and hand held humidity meter for constant or one-off readings.
Relative Humidity or 'RH' is defined as the amount of water vapour held in the air compared to the amount that the air can hold at any given temperature. The higher the temperature, the more water vapour can be held in a given volume of air. Therefore the %RH is the ratio of water vapour present in the air relative to the amount required to reach saturation or for condensation to begin to form at the current temperature. RH readings are provided by all humidity meter in the ATP range.
The dew point is the temperature at which a sample of moist air at a constant pressure reaches water vapour saturation.
The wet bulb measurement is the measurement of how much water vapour is present in the atmosphere. Whilst dew point is the determination of the point at which dew is formed, wet bulb is the determination of the total concentration of vapour present. Both are measurements of moisture.
ATP Instrumentation offers a wide range of humidity measurement instruments, free standing thermo-hygrometers, hand held thermo-hygrometers or humidity and temperature data loggers. Find out more about our instruments in the section below:
