Details

The GA216B sound meter is the ideal instrument for applications such as Fire Alarm Testing and initial spot-check assessments to the Noise at Work Regulations (2005). It is designed for anyone in need of competent sound measurement such as Engineers and Industrial Safety Officers. It is a Class 2 Sound Level Meter that is fully compliant with IEC 61672-1:2013 and has the ability to measure Sound Pressure (Lp), maximum Lp hold (Lmax) and Peak (Cpeak) simultaneously. When recording, all measurement parameters can be cycled and easily viewed by pressing a simple button.

Supplied with a fully calibrated microphone the GA216B is ready for use straight from the box with full confidence in accuracy.

Noise at Work Regulations 2005

This entry level Class 2 sound meter does not measure Leq and as such is not suitable for full assessment of compliance to the Noise at work Regulations 2005. It can however be used for initial spot-checks. Full compliance requires the more advanced GA216I – Integrating Sound Level Meter.
